Engine mount dimensions.
Hi, I was wondering if any one has position dimensions for the standard fabricated engine mounts and pinto engine as per the original as stated by Chris Gibbs. Searched can't find anything sorry if this detail has been given before.
Thanks Daveyb. |

Cant give pinto measurements as I use a zetec, however the below link may help if you can get the engine mocked in place and weld in situ.

Forget the book mounts and make your own,it will save you hard work and look better.
Weld two 5mm plates to chassis and two pieces of tube for legs and two bits of 3mm to engine.

I'd go for 5mm plates on the engine rather than 3mm.

Agreed, after I had posted it I thought better of it given previous issue's.

Hi Daveyb - when I bought my part finished car it had a Pinto engine fitted, I have removed it and replaced it with a MX5 unit but still have the original engine mounts. You are welcome to them (plus post costs). PM your email and I'll send pics
