Default Nosecone / Radiator Clearance?

Gents

How much room is there between the top of the top chassis rail and the nose cone? Just want to finalise my radiator position, and would be helpful if I could put the top hose above the top chassis rail, meaning the radiator would need to be about 6cm above the top of the chassis.

Cheers

Adrian

Hi Adrian,
having the top of the rad 6cm above the chassis rail will fine, there is loads of room available, if you wish i can get the actual measurement for you later & post it up.

cheers
andy

i have got about 1-2mm between the top corners of my rad and the top of my nose cone. gingepom made me some little spacers out of aly tuesday night just to shift the top forward a few mm to make the bottom rad hose go on easier.

just measured it,
15.4cm at the shallow point (above outer edge of front frame )
17.5cm at highest point ( above center point of front frame )
both measurements taken from the top edge of the chassis tube.

hope that helps.
cheers

If a picture paint's a thousand words, then why can't I paint youuuuuhoho.

Standard polo rad.
It is mounted about 1" (25mm in nooo muney)
to the left, to give clearance to the breather at the top right.

Sorry just noticed its a bit out of focus....Or is it my eyes....
