Default Wot engine - 1992 GLSI 2.0?

Anybody know what sort of engine would be in a 1992 2 litre GLSI? I am guessing it would be an injected DOHC but aint sure.
I have found a car with this motor in so if all is well I will be picking it up tomorrow.
Must go, have wet my pants. Again

Almost certain to be the DOHC engine in that one, it'll have the MT75 gearbox fitted as well as Lobro bolt on drive shafts & rear discs.

I am 99% sure that the 2 litre pinto injection engine was phased out by that date.

I’m with Ronnie here every 2l sierra I have looked at that is 90/91 on is a DOHC.

Hijack time. Would a 1.8 CVH 91/92 have a type 9 gearbox or is it not that easy.

i,d say yes it,d more than likely be a type 9 box in that year cvh, mine is "90" 1.8cvh & has the type 9.

Cool, thanks chaps. All being well I will have picked that up by this time tomorrow
Will be getting the garage roof fixed (b*stard storms!!) then getting the build table done and the steel brought in. Happy days!!
I don't know if I mentioned it before but the car is going to be an advertising platform for my business - www.enochsemporium.co.uk
Should bring us some business.
Regards,
Enoch.

Hi Ginge

I am almost certain that all of the pinto & CVH Sierras were fitted with the type 9 gearbox

As far as I am aware the MT75 was only fitted to the DOHC & XR4 models

I hope your wounds are feeling a little more comfortable mate
