Cool Bike Engine Reverse Wiring

Hi everyone

I'm going to put a bike engine in my roadster (eventually) the chassis is all done, front suspension made, everything painted and going well.
I like to plan ahead so the starter motor route for a reverse will be the road to go down. So to try and make life a little easier does anyone have a wiring diagram?

No wiring diagram sorry, just make sure it only works in neutral and with the handbrake off only.

These ready made jobs seem good value.http://www.blitzworld.co.uk/joyrider...-box-i421.html. I dont think you would get much change from that if you start trying to mount starters to mesh into ring gears on the prop. It all has to be supported on brackets and bearings which is a bit messy. 100mph in reverse

Edit Wheres that beer

Someone on the forum has done it with a ring gear from MK if I remember correctly, and again if memory serves me right it was a Seat starter motor.

No electrician but you can use the neutral switch in the bike box to feed a relay to inhibit it as per previous post.

Some kind forum member will remember and post a link.

OK - I'm "building" BEC, so I'm trying to prepare for unexpected problems

My Roadster will have electric reverse with VAG starter motor. It's because VAG starters turn counterclockwise... You can use most of them, but they have different sizes.
The gear you need is 12DP - the bigger you fit the easier/slower will go
Very helpful pictures: http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/photos.php?action=gal&user=40inches&folder=Electri c%20reverse

As for electric diagram... I plan to connect relay(NO) feed to neutral switch, and second relay(NC) feed to brake light switch - in this way I can reverse by brake pedal.
But this is only my theory
