Quick release wheel and boss
Hi all,
Just wondered if anyone knew if I could fit a quick release steering wheel and boss before iva? The boss being the type that you weld on? I know the wheel I have will pass but it's just welding the boss onto the shaft and it being removable? Thanks

Reading through all the questions about this and it looks like i might have to borrow a standard sierra steering wheel for IVA.
To be honest though, id rather do all the mods once rather than pulling the car to bits again to fit a removable boss. The one i picked up is the weld on type to a 3 bolt steering wheel. Think i'll call the IVA guy for bishopbriges (Alan Burns) and ask him since thats where i'll be taking it. Any more thought?

I see it says something about the steering boss failing, if fitted safely i don't see any problems using a proven design and quality parts. The likes of F1 and touring cars have been using similar for years.
