Sierra 2.0 DOHC inj with 5 speed box

Having read Chris' tome is it worth me buying the above model vehicle.
It appears that this engine may hit the bonnet and the 5 speed box is bigger, meaning modifying the transmission tunnel.
Does anybody have any experience of using this engine with carbs and the mods required on the tunnel?
Any help appreciated.

The modifications are listed here, complete with details and drawings. The engine isn't the greatest in its power delivery and its fat. Its not that its a bad idea, its just that there are more suitable engines to use.

I'm using the escort version of the engine (16v, 150bhp) in my kit car. and its not been a problem yet.

Sorry I have search hi and low for chassis change regarding the MT75 box, and can not find it, perhaps the low criminal hacker has deleted it!!!!!!!!!
