Default Last inspection passed!

Last inspection for the road certification of the Roadster this afternoon. All good: it's a «Pass». The inspector, after the test drive, even told me «it's a good car, very pleasant to drive»! And if there are some swedes over here, they will understand even more the meaning of these words knowing that my inspector is Bosse Bildoktorn! Just a thing he asked me to think about and improve (but not enough for a "fail"), are the front wing stays, they are vibrating a bit too much, in spite of them being made of 5mm x 25mm steel strips. But I have the whole winter to think about that!

Well, anyway, it is not over yet, still have to pass the noise test, and MOT. But we're getting there!

Weighting the car

The Roadster has been weighted at 680 KG, with a full fuel tank (34 liters) and no driver/passenger. I was expecting less, but I know I haven't really worked on the weight, running a 2,0i DOHC from a Sierra, steel frame seats, and so on... what is the average weight of a Haynes?

Anyway, it is a relief!

Congratulations on your successful pass.
I also used the same size material for my stays and they too vibrate, mostly at idle.
So far after a year they have done nothing more than vibrate and have not been a problem.

Congratulations

Your Roadster looks real good

Let´s hope you got the MOT real soon so you have everything ready until next spring.

It´s Three years sinse I got mine at the road so today was the first time I have to go to the MOT ( kontrollbesiktning på svenska) and it was no problems, got the thumb up from from the testman

Well done on the pass. It's a great feeling.
My stays are 6mm x40mm and only vibrate at 80mph and not that badly.

My car was a bit fat but I did over engineer some of the added parts. With me in it (100kg) and 36L fuel it was 720kg.
