Default Laser (or CNC) cutting Acrylic or perspex

Hi all,

Does anyone have the ability to CNC cut acrylic or perspex? A mate of mine is working on a project and wants to make some small pieces for electronic kits. Is there a homemade "locost" way of doing it? I was thinking of making some twinkly bits for my car too (might be a bit ambitious as I dont even have a chassis yet )

Water jet cutting is the best choice for acrylic, sadly it's not locost, CNC milled is the same. Unless you know someone with a machine, one off parts are expensive to do.

Regards

John
