Default Pedal Box Ooooops

After welding up my pedals tonight I think I've made a boob with the pedal box. Of course I didn't tack PB1,2,3 and wait to try the pedals I welded them up. Looking at the pic on page 55 it appears the clutch pivot point is higher than the accelerator so that's where I put PB1 and the accelerator got PB3. Doh!! If I looked properly at fig 4.37 on page 54 I wouldn't have done that

If I change the pads between the two pedals will the different pivot points make a big difference to the pedal operation? I guess the clutch will just need an extra bit of effort from the left leg as the leverage point has moved.

Hi Jimmy.

I can't quite grasp what you have done, I ain't got the book infront of me.
But if you are saying your clutch pedal is now shorter, then I think thats a bad idea.
I found even with the book pedals the clutch is a handfull, espcally in traffic.
Infact it is one of the mods I have planned for this winter is to lengthen the clutch pedal.
