Default seat belt mounting plate nut size

hi guys anyone out there now what size nut to use on the seat belt mounts as i can only get metric and in the book it is 7/16ths ??????

It depends how your going to fix your seatbelts. 7/16th is industry standard. If you buy a belt with bolts on, they'll be 7/16th. If you buy a belt with clip on ends, then the eyebolts are going to be 7/16th aswell

Make sure you get UNF as I went into my local bolt shop and asked for 7/16 and got UNC didn't realise untill I got the top harness mounts from 3GE.

Hi Steve

Personally, I would use the 7/16" UNF fixings

You should not have any problem getting that size nut, they are still in quite common use.

My local steel stockist keeps them at a cost of less than 10p each

Would have sent you some up but have only got 2 left

I know I just asked for 7/16 and got the unc. I'll get round to changing at some point just havn't been near the shop yet
