![]() My tank arrirved today
![]() Looking good and all that, however, slight mis-communication with the guy who made it and the sender hole is in the side, about 3/4 of the way up, instead of in the top, The sender I have came with a rubbery thingy, do we think it will be fuel tight, or shall I move it to the top, and weld a plate over where the existing hole is? Cheers Guys Jas

![]() Have you a picture of the tank & sender unit Jas
![]() It will be a lot easier to give you some sound advice if you do ![]() I guess if the sender and rubber ring are made to be used together & it was designed to be side mounted in an alloy tank, I can see no reason as to why it might leak . The sender probably has a bendy arm that you can re-profile to give you the full range of movement & accurate reading ![]()

![]() Should be okay, you can bend the sender arm for full travel. Be better than blanking the hole and cutting another in the top.
If in doubt you can get a tube of specific sealant for sealing the gaskets: http://www.workshopsupplies.co.uk/co...e_sealant.html I use Dirko Grau which is great stuff. AndyH
