Hello every one, found this forum via eBay weird i know was looking at a chassis listing.....Ive just purchased my copy of "build your own sports car on a budget" cost just £11 from amazon bargain......
I'm starting to look at parts and donor cars, just wondering tho how hard this is going to be, Ive only ever played about with cars, most Ive done is a major overhaul of a 1976 mini and a k series engine rebuild,so is it posible i could complete this build

Hi Mike,
a warm welcome to the forum

If you have done a major overhaul of a car then you,ll have no problem building a Roadster,
even if you can,t weld there are suppliers on this forum that can supply even a fully welded chassis,
This forum is a very friendly place & i,m sure that whatever questions you may have you,ll get helpful and constructive replies.
Have a good read thru all past threads or use the search facility for a specific topic for guidance & if you can,t find the answer then just ask away

best wishes for your build.

cheers
andy

Well I'm doing OK and I'm virtually useless
Seriously, anyone with the right aptitude and attitude can do it, having the right tools is essential too. When I started I didn't even know how to weld. It's now just 6 months later and I have a rolling chassis with the engine and box in place. Starting off with one of Saturn / handyandy's chassis kits worked really well for me.
Best of luck.
Enoch

Mike,

I have been out at my father’s barbequing all day and just catching up on the forum.

I can’t reiterate what Andy and Enoch (afternoon men) have said enough, great forum all the answers, I couldn’t have got as far as I have without the endless supply of top tips.

I notice you are only over in Bristol, once your book has turned up and you have had time to have a look through it feel free to pop over and have a look at my build if you like. You will probably have loads of questions which we could clear up in an afternoon over a brew.

Cheers Ginge
