![]() hi everyone im new here, im from Christchurch New Zealand.
Have decided to build a Haynes Roadster. I hope that this forum will be a great help for me. I think the biggest problem i will have is locating the Haynes Book. also will be what suitable driveline i will use? as the ford sierra wasnt sold in great numbers over here in Kiwiland. But we do have a over populated number of jappa cars here so will have to adapt a RWD jappa diff etc... |

![]() Hi and welcome to this forum, there are a few kiwis lurking about here, a valuable site for construction information, as for locating the book try this link,http://www.fishpond.co.nz/advanced_s...own+sports+car may be helpfull. Another usefull site is this kiwi one http://www.lotus7.co.nz/forum/ ,seems to be quite a number of guys in the Christchurch area. Sometimes Sierra's come up on Trademe so worth having a look there. For my build Im using sierra diff axles and hubs, and steering column, 4age 20valve Black top with T50 box,mk3 cortina front uprights hubs and stubs. Good luck with build.Cheers Brendan.

![]() Hello and welcome to the forum,
just in the process of making body parts for 2 other New Zealand builders so the Haynes is getting quite popular out there. I wouldn't put their names on here just in case but i'm sure they wouldn't mind me passing their e-mail onto you if you would like to get in touch and compare notes as they are now on the closing stages of their build. All the Best...AndyH Apologies, just seen Allterain's post, seems there are more than i thought.....Regards....AndyH

![]() well today is the day i start "project Roadstar"
I have finally tracked down a copy of the haynes book thru a local bookshop. Pay for it today pick up Tuesday, at present time I have been using a copy from the Libary. I have sorted out a certifcation guy to overlook the project, just awaiting approval from them for final go ahead. But have been told by him to start as the chassis is so commom that it will be ok. Pick up my steel on Monday from work ( boss said he will give me it as hes keen to see how it goes ) ![]() Been looking for a sierra sw for parts but at moment no luck!!!, will have to look at different ideas. I did look at a ford mondao with a zetec motor, but its front wheel drive do anyone know of a g/box that will fit to it to make it a rear whell drive?. |
