Default pedal box help

I have started to make my peadl box but I just cant, get my head round the books dimensions on page 54
the back plate is 268mm wide plus 16 mm for a bend = 284 mm and this plate fits between U6 and U7 then bolts flush to to CP 16 .
The gap between U6 and U7 is 260mm on my chassis
can I just trim the back plate down ? also what is the bend for ?

cheers Rob

Not sure why you have a difference between the chassis and the peddle box
I don't have the book to hand
But yes you can just cut it down to fit.
I have no idea what the bend is for.
Mine's been finished 2 years now.

Ignore this,I'm talking B****x

The plate fits against the chassis uprights, not between them the bend is to line up with U6, which is at an angle to U7.

Hope that makes sense.

Kind regards

John
