Default I'm Almost There.....

Well, I’m feeling like im almost there. I don’t think I have much left to do on my car and im now thinking of getting it ready for the iva, which if all works out I hope to do sometime in/before September.

Over the last 2-3 weeks ive been working on my car most days, all the wiring is finally done, apart from I haven’t got the flasher relay working!! All the holes are drilled for bodywork to be fitted on except the bonnet( not fitting bodywork yet as I don’t want it scratched which I would end up inevitably doing). Ive made all the interior aluminium panels and are drilled, im just waiting to rivet them on. The exhaust is made and seems fine. My prop seems to be slightly unbalanced, as I do seem to get vibration at high revs. I haven’t checked if the camber or toe out is right and I havnt yet checked anything about self centering yet. I havnt yet got any seats in the car either, oh, and a dash needs to be made.. But that’s about it…

One thing I am unsure of is what I meant to use as an air filter on the engine? (edit, fogot to say.. i have a 1.8 carb cvh)

Hopefully will be on the road in not too long.

Good Progress there Geeman,

try one of these K&N bolt on filters:

http://www.europerformance.co.uk/pag...product=174497

This is not quite the right one but you can get a similar one for the Pierburg carb. It will stick through the bonnet a bit but whatever you try it will do the same and it looks pretty cool proud of the bonnet and gets plenty of cold air. The 2 retaining nuts are dome headed and IVA friendly to.

Well Done.....AndyH

My car is also using the CVH engine with standard carb.

Looking good Andy but you'll have to set the time and date on your camera....

Hay Andy, are those 3 point harnesses you have fitted? I was thinking about using 3 points on my car as I have used the same seats as you and the headrest supports look like they might be in the way with 4 point jobbies.
It's looking good and at about the same stage as mine, looks like we are keeping pace with each other
