Quick Lift Jack
I,m just about to make my own Quick Lift Jack for my Roadster, I have the plans & so was wondering if anyone would be interested in me making a few up & offering them for sale ?
Its similar to the type that the F1 pit crew use under the nose, but with a small platform that sits nicely between the bottom of the front frame & BR7, so it is nice & stable, I,m also going to make an adapter that allows it to be used for the rear of the car too. Obviously these aren,t the type of jack that can be put in the boot, but quite handy  to have in the garage.what do you think guys? cheers andy

Great idea
 But, theres always a but! just make sure the plans you have are capable of lifting a roadster safely with plenty of capacity to spare I would be quite happy to make one myself but i wouldnt be comfortable selling them incase someone had an accident using one. Not saying you arent upto the task of making one but you cant be too careful nowadays

 The plans I have seem very good & the info with them claims that the jack would be more than capable of lifting either end of a Roadster, as most Roadsters are approx 500 to 600kgs which is about the same as an F1 car ( ),How about I make mine up & post pics on this thread & see what you all think? any input , positive or negative is welcomed. I just thought its a handy tool to have cheers andy

How high do they lift? (if that's not a silly question)
  I could be interested in one, if they're not too expensive.

The Jack can be made to lift to varying heights, as standard the dimensions in the plans allow it to lift 12inches,
For my own jack I,m going to make 2 lifting height levels, 1 to be just enough to raise the wheels/tyres off the ground ( allowing for suspension droop etc ), & another to raise it high enough to allow axle stands to be placed under the chassis. Not sure on cost, I,ll make mine & see what it costs in materials etc.( not alot), Tho I,ve seen others for sale at £100 plus  cheers andy
