![]() I've been putting off drilling a hole in the top of my alloy fuel tank, for the gauge sender. After finally going for it, drilled the hole and looked through into the tank, and remembered why i wasn't going to drill it at the end...
My tank has baffles in it, and where i drilled the float arm would be undeneath a baffle, so wouldn't work. Anyhoo, I've drilled another one at the opposite end, which i should be able to fit the float round the baffle. So my question is, can i tigerseal a square of aluminium over the first hole i've drilled? Will that fail IVA? ![]() ![]()

![]() I cant weld aluminium

![]() Tiger seal is not fuel proof, ask me how I know!!!
Cork and or rubber if you must, you could take the opportunity to fit breathers and fuel return gubbins. |
