CVH crankcase breathing
Hi,
There are to pipes from the rocker cover, one goes to the crankcase and the other to the air filter. As I wont be fitting the Sierra original filter (will be using a piper cross), do you have to fit a catch tank for IVA ? Cheers Peter

No you don't. But it will stop oil vapour going over the engine.

The yanks use these welded into the collectors and the exhaust gases passing the end cause a vacuum and burn of the breathing fumes. Early range rovers also had them. Very effective and no pongs, but not sure what they will do for emmisions.

Catch tank and feed back to filter and it will stop any vapour or smells,just be aware of backfires in carb setting fire to varour.
