![]() Finaly got the car back on the road . It did take a bit longer than i thought 4 months and cost a bit more than i expected .Never altered the chassis when i first made it so had to cut and weld in the new rail to fit the thermosat housing.
![]() Trying to fit the battery, alternator ,header tank and bonnet all prove headaces in there own ways . ![]() ![]() ![]() At the weekend it went on a rolling road . PowerCrazy Motorsport at Cullumpton. They do alot of prep work on rally cars and trails cars ,as for cost £50 the first hour then £40 after that. Corner weighting and set up about £80 .Steve there re-wrote the map , blanced the carbs, set the idel and started a power run. Had to stop at 3000 rpm as leaning off, drilled the jets out 0.1 and then started the power run. Mange to get 134 bhp at the wheels [175 bhp at the fly wheel]. Made all the work worth while. |

![]() Baz,
Header tank is from a Rover 25. Same one as I'm using on mine. They come up on ebay new all the time. Gus's roadster is rapid to say the least. Told him he needs to drill holes in the seats to let fluid out. Not rain though!! He's going to need them. LOL.
