bit of a problem tried to change gear today with the car not running and it would not get reverse gear,so took out the 3 bolts and removed the gear stick,had a look in and found something i new nothing about,did a little searching and found it was a saddle seen one on ebay but DO YOU THINK THIS IS PART OF THE PROBLEM OF THE REVERSE GEAR before i buy one . |

![]() What type of box ? On Type 9 there is a "rubber spring" that pushes down to select reverse.

![]() If all was well before dont worry about it. It wont have failed just by sitting there. You can get this situation on any box when the engine is not running, on a lot of boxes reverse is straight cut and dont like to mesh while not turning. If the prop is on try moving the vehicle slightly.
