Fings wot I buyed today.
I bought a new toy today
http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fb...unt=1&re f=nf 1995 1.8 IS Gleneagles MX5, 10 months MOT, 112,000 miles £700. Generally tidy but the usual bit of rot round the rear arches. Drives well so at the end of the month I'll tax it for six months and run it till November then Sorn t and cash the tax in. Then the fun starts.................................next year I'm going hillclimbing with it! :-) D. P.S. if it all goes mammaries upwards it will still make a good donor for a proper Haynes ;-)

That's what I thought Rob. We're off to Loton Park today for a couple of days to watch the hillclimbing, now we're members of the car club that run the track at Loton we get in free ;-) result!

I saw this tvr vixen a while ago and started to gather bits to build one to the same spec. Another v8 ford project , twas the music that made me buy it. I will get rid of all the v8 ford stuff in the end

Nowt wrong with V8 music Rob. Seen several TVR Vixens today being driven indecently quickly, in fact I can see two of them from where we're camped and right outside our side door is a Lotus single seater that's been dropped off ready for tomorrow's racing. Seen loads of Caterhams today as it was a round of the Caterham challenge/trophy/cup or summat like that It might be just the surroundings but these Caterhams look tiny compared to my Dragon, the nose is a load wider on mine now!

I know the purists will shudder in their boots but I will sympathetically butcher and customise it to be like the black one on piston heads
At least it will be how tvr knocked them up in the first place by robbing bits off just about every car that was made. I have got all the doors,glass and stuff like hinges, engine and box, suspension and steering.   bob
