Default First drive today!!!

Hi guys, big day today, got it out of the garage for the first time. Pics and more info on my blog, click the link on the bottom of the post.

Few problems to sort:

1. After 1 heavy brake, the rears have bound on.
2. I need a shorter fan belt, my modified setup is still a little loose.
3. Need to charge the battery, using my power pack is getting irritating.
4. Need to look at modifying the brake pedal, I can't find it easily enough.

But, on the plus side, it's terrifyingly quick! Goes nice and straight too.

Big smiles today, big smiles.

Congratulations Sam on your huge milestone of the first drive

Its a great feeling innit I imagine you are still "buzzing" about it eh

I bet it sounds awesome...even tho you say it will need to be silenced a bit.

Nice work Sam.

cheers
andy

It does sound awesome, awesome and absolutely deafening! I need to make it quieter. Either an additional silencer on both sides, or a decibel insert in each front pipe.

Need to find out why the rear brakes have bound too.

But at least it goes in a nice straight line, and by 'eck it's quick!

Cool Nice one Sam

Great to hear news of your progress Sam, you must be well pleased

We have had some nice sunny weather recently, it cetainly makes you want to get on with the build .... Green with envy mate

Re your back brakes, is it possible that you have over adjusted the handbrake cable a tad !!??
Might be worth backing the cable off a couple of clicks, give the car a quick spin & see if it is any better

I've had a look and the handbrake is nice and loose. I think the calipers have jammed on. Why, I'm not sure yet. I may have to just replace them.
