Default people on ebay....

Over the past 5 years I've had some great questions about parts through ebay but this one really has got to me this morning...user names have been omitted for legal reasons.

ebay listing.....
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/haynes-roa...-/321159423412

Question:Hi there, can i ask what makes these not suitable for an MX5, reason I ask is I am making a EXOCET kit based on an MX5 and I would like to see if these would fit it.

Me A:These do not fit standard mx5's in the same way that Ford Escort front arms do not fit Vauxhall Astra's.

Reply:Sorry mate but forgive my nievity, I have no idea what that means. As I said I was intending on using these for a kit car based on an MX5, in particular an Exocet, similar to a Cateram crossed with an Areil atom. so knowing how these wont fit an mx5 may help me know if they will fit the Kit car......

I'm now going to look back through my ebay questions to find all the other little gems...

Me thinks that guy should not be building a kit car unsupervised, then again my theory has always been .... if it don't fit, modify it to fit or make a new one to fit. somehow I don't think that is in him to do that

Dam I was about to buy a set to put on the Jaguar s-type... oh well. Maybe I can get the front fork from my Cycle to fit instead.

At work we sell a lot of stuff through ebay and the level of stupidity never ceases to amaze me.

These will not fit an MX5 in the same way that Boeing 747 wings will not fit a cessna, you do-nut!!

Is it wrong that I got a little angry even though it has no bearing on my life??!!

I've had a few randoms on ebay lately as well, must be the weather, worst was on selling my old Iphone, a 2 week old member with one feedback (£1.50 iphone case) won the bids and sent this (copied and pasted):

"hi dear sir / madam im glad that i won ur i phone , i have request ,i work in school in cople lower school in cople i wana come and pick the phone so it saves me a little bid and if u want cash i will pay cash can u plz response me as soon as posible .
tnx"

Ebay's seller protection is fairly poor and the number of scams involving items such as iphones/xboxes etc with new sellers is so rife that for the first time in 10 years on ebay I declined to go through with the transaction, funnily he hasn't protested or left bad feedback!
