![]() Thanks chaps.
I really feel for you Frank. It must of been so frustrating for you. ![]() You completed your build in double quick time, first time SVA pass & all of you hard work rewarded buy DVLA mucking about for weeks & weeks. ![]() I have dealt with the DVLA local office at Truro a few times and have found them to be very helpfull & efficient. It remains to be seen if they are so helpfull when I go to register my build though. ![]() As for DVLA Swansea, that is a whole different ball game. ![]() I once recieved a fixed penalty notice for failing to declare SORN on an accident dammaged car that I had bought (Cat C). A cat c insurance loss reqiures a Vehicle Identity ChecK. Untill this check has taken place you cannot apply for a V5. You cant submit the vehicle for a VIC untill it has been substatially repaired & MOT'd. If you are not the registered keeper you cannot declare SORN. ( I tried when I bought the car ) It took months & months for them to accept that the vehicle was subject to a VIC and that I was not liable for declaring SORN. (Muppets)
