So in 2015 I purchased a brand new helical ATB LSD diff to fit to this car. 9 years later I decided to finish up and fit it.

Got to say getting an MX5 diff in and out of that cage in a built car was fun....

The 1.8 unit is much bigger than the 1.6. It wouldn't go in through the left or right of the cage at all but I just about managed to get it in through the top if I held it just the right way twisted it 22.3 degrees south and recited just the right four letter filled incantation.

Its in and running though. Feels good so far, I think I notice a little difference in traction and when it lets go it feels like it comes in a bit smoother with more notice.
