Default Rear Uprights

Hi I have stated fabricating the rear uprights and have a problem. The book says the the tube that acts as a spacer for the two upper 3mm plates on the fixture should be 50mm long. This would obviously mean a 50mm gap for the top suspention wishbone joint to fit. Howoever the top link should be the standard 44mm width for all polly bushed joints.

Have I read this wrong?

Can anyone help.

As an assides we are using a e36 BMW 318 donner car and have modified the diff mounting to suit. The uprights have been adapted to suit cut down BMW hubs. Once the design is proven we would be willing to provide this service for other people.

Cheers
Graeme
