As some of you have probably read in my other post i have been trying to get my rev counter working. Aswell as this, a fuel pressure gauge i bought has been giving me some chew
It turned out that the sender was faulty and had random resistance whenever it felt like it So late last night, i removed the sender and guage and put them back into the packaging to return today. Then after finishing work today i was fiddling with the rev counter again and wired it up and turned on the engine........................... with no oil pressure switch in At least i know its making good pressure anyway Only ran it for about 10secs before i realised that about 2 litres of oil had pumped out!!!!!!! Luckily no harm done just a mess for me to clean up ![]() Its the 3rd "interesting" moment ive had in my garage since starting my roadster build The 2nd was when i finished welding a wishbone and lifted up my welding screen to find the bin on fire! The 1st was when i got it running on edis and turned it off and it kept running, even after i disconnected the battery! And now this one! Hope it cheers someone up laughing at my expense Last edited by mark : 30th January 2010 at 01:31 PM. Reason: typo! |
