Default Rear fog

As some of you know im going to be applying for my iva in the next few days

I noticed in tillys thread that ash said the fog light can only work with dipped or full beam.

Is this absolutely certain?

(i know it probably is otherwise ash wouldnt have said so )

As on lots of production cars they can be turned on with only sidelights, sierra included.

At times when i have driven in very thick fog my headlights were reflecting back and dazzling me so i drove with only sidelights on and front/rear fog lights.

I have used a stripped down sierra loom so mine come on with side lights aswell as dipped and main beam.

If this needs to be changed do any of you with car electrickery experience know the easiest way to resolve this as my car is fully wired all clipped up neat and tidy, everything works so im reluctant to start chopping into again if its not necessary.
