Unhappy radiator position. help!

Hi guys?
Just wondering has anybody put their radiator between the front frame and the engiine?
I have a polo rad and i havent got my nosecone yet.
I find when i try position it on the front frame that the outlets get cought in the frame.
If it was out here then the the fan ends up being bout 1 inch from te front of the engine at the top and theres plenty room on the bottom.
It fits fairly well there but my only worry it that it wouldnt cool properly as its at an angle and away from the front?
There wont be anything else in front of the rad.
Heres a pic for ye --->

Any opinions or views highly welcome!
Thanks,
Darryl.
