My solution, as eluded to in that thread, is to drill a hole in the thread and exit the wires just below the top mount and into my mount tube. the thread then continues down and out of a lower plate at the base of the headlamp mount and that can easily have the nut done up with a spanner ( and the wires are fully hidden ) .

The big advantage is that the lights can be adjusted without disturbing the wiring ( IVA Bonus! ) if the mounting bolt also acts as the adjuster clamp like mine.
