MX5 Fun and Nice MK2 Scorts...

Had a day off yesterday, and popped round to visit a friends office.. The core business is provision of Internet circuits but they have a office ( it's not at all nice ) in an old MOD warehouse with plenty of space..

As a side line they do some other things, they have imported some very nice Escort MK2's from South Africa, and a Type 2 Bus, and MK2 Escort van with an SR20 DET!! ...


However, my friend likes his MX5. It's a 1.8 MK1, I drove it last year and it handled nicely but ran out of steam quite easily.

This time it's got a HKS turbo on it and ~260BHP... ... Fortunatly the office/workshop is located on a private business park.

Suffice to say that the car now performs, it's a little laggy but when it came on boost it rocketed off. Was getting the backend going slightly sideways in third , still easy to control mind and predictable (so long as one was delicate)

Lots of fun and food for thought...


I am just waiting for a shot in the SR20'd Van now.....
