Td04 turbo
Evening everyone
I trial fitted my td04 turbo today after getting my manifolds from blackcat And have found that the actuator is sitting to high So high that the bonnet won't fit now Any ideas as to what I can do with the actuator so I can get my bonnet to fit My son said cut a hole in the bonnet and have it showing |

Can you not somehow get the turbo to mount toward the bottom of manifold using some kind of angled exhaust pieces and flanges? Or just chop bonnet and glass a vent of some type over it?

The actuator does look quite large is there a smaller unit available the will give you the clearance

I've been looking at how I'm going to fit mine in over the winter. It is tight so I decided to make a custom manifold putting the turbo a little further back in the engine bay and a little lower but also have managed to design a manifold with a better flow. well it looks better to me.

Was having a think about this today while I sat there staring at it and thought
What about if I turned the actuator over And on a quick trial fit it may look like it will be low enough to clear the bonnet After work tomorrow I'm going to get straight on it so I'll post a pic when I'm done |

You could leave it as it is,cut a hole in the bonnet and put a duct over it and it would help to cool it.
