Also found this site useful Its for a zetec blacktop engine but it shows how he modified the sump which is the same as the st170.

Hi Everybody!

I tried to insert a picture of the engine
Thank you Robj for the pictures
In my mind Ihaven't to do another sump
Actualy I have modify my sump on the pinto; both engines have the same height within 3 centimeters
(My roadster is built only for track, remember, I leave in France, the prototypes are forbiden on the road!!!)
actualy I have 9 centimeters under the sump
I have a lot of questions , so I will be back soon!
