Default Steering rack lock stops.

Hi, has anyone used any steering rack stops ?

If so,what sort of thickness would be a recommendation.

Hi I bought mine from thelatheman on EBay.
What I found with them that they were very slightly to thick, on full right lock it felt like it jammed slightly also they could have been slightly shorter.
I cut approx 5mm off of them and ground one end of each down slightly to a taper and now the lock is good and nothing sticks.
If you bought from him you probably could get him to make them the size you want.
Hope that helps, keep safe in this lockdown.
Regards Mick.

Worth at look at this thread - both for Skovs comments, and Stots, and the pics. There's reference to a specific part number for RS components in there too...

Hi thanks for the reply Mick, were these adjustments to the locks based on using the ford escort rack ?
Hope you are all well.

Regards
