Default Drivehaft Bolts

Does anyone know the size, pitch, length and general specification of the rear driveshaft bolts for the connection to the diff? I cut mine of with the grinder when I stripped the car.

Also where can you buy the associated shim's

If you are meaning the 12 torx bolts needed for the bolt on shafts ( Lobro )

They are M8 X 50mm female head torx bolts, standard metric thread.

The ones I removed from mine are black in colour so I assume they are high tensile bolts 10.9 grade !!??

You may have a problem finding torx bolts but allen bolts will be just as good.

There are some allen bolts on ebay at the moment. M8X50 12.9 grade but they look to be set bolts.

Linky

I did message this seller a while back to ask it he had bolts of this grade & for a price of 24.
Sadly he never got back to me.

Nice to have plenty of trade & be able to ignore genuine customers.

I have not got a clue as to where you will find the little backing plates though.

Did you go for the allen bolts or did you manage to find torx bolts from somewhere ?

Have you been given a price for the lazer cut backing plates. I'd be interested in sharing the cost with you.

Black Allen Bolts, as long as it passes SVA im happy! Will read up about it when I further on. We put in a new order in for laser plates about every 3-4 weeks for the business, we have got some bits on order for another forum member. They are likely to be pence each, so when I get round to it will order spares and let you know.
