Best diff for BEC?

As sierra 3.14 and 3.38 diffs are scarce... what are the other good choices for a bec diff?

Hi you can use a freelander diff if you can fit it to the chassis.

It kind of depends which engine you use, kawks are better on 3.38 but r1's are fine on 3.62. Which is what im going to use

You also need to consider if you want an LSD - 3.62s are available with whereas 3.38 (which I have) and 3.14 hasn't. You can get them retro fitted with a Quaife ATB but that will add about £600.

depends what you want also,

were i live there are loads off twisty windy roads so iv gone for rocket accelleration with a 3.9 but i will be limited on top speed but iff you want to have a better top speed then obviously something like a 3.14 would be good, as for the actual diff the sierra ones arnt that hard to find i saw 5 on a stand at stonley at the weekend for about £40 each though about buying the lot and putting them on ebay could have made a killing lol but the freelander diffs are quite popular and i dont think you would need an awful lot off chassis modification

Locost solution for a 3.3 or 3.1 LSD is to take the crown wheel and pinion from the diff and swap it into a 3.6 LSD.

a 3.6 LSD is now £150 a 3.3 £250 and a 3.1 probably £350, having the crown wheel and pinion professionaly fitted is from £100

So if I can get a 3.62 LSD, take it to somewhere along with my 7" push in shaft 3.38, I can get a 3.38 LSD? Any ideas who will do it?
