Default Fuel tank Wall Thickness

Hi all shoudl have included this in my other post really but i could do with a speedy answer since its one of todays jobs

What is the minimum wall thickness in ally and steel i can get away with for the fuel tank ?????

1mm steel or 1.5mm ali

I did mine in 1.2mm (18g) steel, and bonded some 10mm marine ply to the rear face just in case some inattentive tintop driver decides to rearrange the rear of my car.
