Default Rack issues :-S

Got my rack from rally designs this morning, so went for a trial fit. Problem, my sierra column is too big to fit over the splined input of the rack?
My sierra had a Power assisted rack if that makes any difference? Is that the cause or is it something else do we think?
Cheers Guys Jas

It must be because yours was a power steering model as i have a rally design rack too and my doner parts fit fine.

Im sure somebody will be along shortly with a combination of what couplings etc you need to make it fit!

I would imagine that the column will be the same but the linkage is obviously different so maybe try and get one of those from a non power sterring model.

thanks

Cheers Mark.

Next question, does anyone have one spare that I could exchange for beer tokens?

Jas if you can get hold of a group4 coupling to fit onto the rack spline then i can send you the stainless steel shaft that fits into the coupling then you weld that to your steering column extension.
no beer tokens needed

no prob, the splined shaft i have spare is half of what i bought from rally design, you can get the couplings from them too, just ask for mkII escort rack group4 coupling, can,t remember for sure but think they are approx £12.
