Default Wishbone bushes

I'm struggling getting the bushes into the wishbones. I'm using a vice to fit them one at a time. Should it be dead easy ? Do you have the steel insert in the bush as you try to fit it or do you put in in afterwards. I've tried 2 bushes so far with no success. These are now difficult to fit the insert into !

Cheers

Who made the bush tubes and who made the bushes, have the bush tubes been bored out or just left as seamed tube? Are you trying to fit nylon or poly bushes? If every thing has been made 'as per the book' then every thing should fit with a little help, if how ever a few things have been changed then 0.5mm here,0.5mm there plus a welded seam means there not going to fit. Suspension parts are engineered, measured to fit and work not just assembled with crossed fingers.

Have you had your wish bones powder coated? my bushes wouldnt go in because of the thickness of the powder coat inside the tubes i just used a dremel style internal grinder to lightly fettle the inside of the tubes

Dont over do it though they should be a tight fit

I think its the powder coating. I'll try removing some.
