you have a builder putting that same engine in not far from you & he,s about ready to get it started for the first time, its forum member "Spikehaus", he,s done a cracking job on his build & overcome lots of fitting issues of the V6 going in a Roadster.

If it's a 3DR XR4i and it's cheep then your best bunging it in a garage and cashing in later as they are going up up up ££££
If it's a 5DR XR4i then it's the 2.0 DOHC engine not a V6 The Roadster book mentions the use of he V6, so it will probably fit. TT |

Use the Cologne V6 - I had great fun stripping it, and everything on the XR4x4i was upgraded to LSD and brake discs all round. I am going to start mine next weekend. All the fluids are now in. Just need to charge the battery!
I had lots of fun stripping the 4x4 gear off it, so you will need a 2wd steel sump if you go down the same route. Sold all the other bits and got £400 so far. Only paid £130 for the original car! I plan to mount the air flow paddle and fuel lines deep down on the chassis. I just need to research a little on how to connect the injectors to pipe - Anyone done this? Still thinking about swapping the MFI engine for an EFI, just because it looks better. Still, that's an upgrade for next year. Plenty of photos on my linkys below:

I'm putting a Cosworth V6 (BOA) engine into my Locust rebuild, it is a bit tight but it will fit.
