Default Fuel Pump Question

Hi,

using carbouretted bike engine, im wanting to put the fuel pump where the Sierra gearbox would be out of the way of the propshaft, ay reason for not doing this?

any input would help

What fuel pump?
Usually best to fit the fuel pump close to the tank

its a fireblade pump about the size of a coke can, the tank will be higher than the pump so getting fuel to the pump wont be a prob just to pump it upto the carb
