Default Stronger Gearbox Mount

Now I've got all my stuff in the chassis and I've been doing some sitting, making engine noises, I've noticed loads of 'bounce' in the gearbox mount. Its just too soft! Is there any way this can be stiffened up? I've looked around for uprated gearbox mounts, but they are £80!

No bouncing with this mount! Plenty of support all round. Cost around 1 hour and some 6 mm plate or the rack!

I've been looking at the problem and am considering making a metal / aluminium cradle bolted onto the gearbox, and then have 2 rubber mounts on the chassis the cradle bolts onto. Much like miniature engine mounts, using 20mm rubber mounts. Inspired by the rally design product. Obviously mine will look considerably rougher...... but who is going to see it?

a new standard one should be stiff enough the rubber goes soft especially when it has got oil on it
