If you keep the chassis numbers then you need to destroy the shell.

If you don't mind a Q-plate ( i don't ). then somone may buy the shell with ID, especialy if it's a clean sapphire one.

if you are going for an age related plate for your Roadster then you should cut out the vin plates that are on your donor shell, front slam panel & down the side of the drivers seat area. keep them safe as its your proof along with the documents V5 etc that you owned the donor car.

when you get rid of the shell make sure you don,t scrap it with a vehicle breakers yard as they will inform dvla that it has been crushed/broken up etc & so the dvla won,t issue age related plates from that donor to your Roadster. if that makes sense ?

best thing to do is weigh in the donor shell as just metal, not a car with chassis numbers etc.

cheers

Don't really understand why people get so worked up about having an age related plate as it makes no difference other than asthetics and since you cant see the plate when driving it - each to there own I guess.
I would sell the shell for good money so long as someone doesn't use it for a ringer (hardly likely these days) and spend the money on the build or beer
won't make any difference to the car you end up with.
