Read the book a couple of times ..... Decide if you wish to source the steel for your chassis, then cut it yourself .... Or .... Buy one of HandyAndys excellent flat pack chassis kits ... Bargain if your build time is limited or steel is expensive locally

When you start building the chassis, this is the time to start looking for a donor .... Have patience, one will come along when you least expect it

Lastly .... A very warm welcome to the forum, enjoy your build

My advice is don't wait for a donor - get straight on with the chassis. I waited for a donor just in case I lost interest while waiting. I didn't lose interest, I lost eight months build time !!

when you get "stuck" no matter what on, ask this forum for help, its like having your own "team" of mechanics on hand to help out.

Just prepare to spend three times what you thought you would, multiply your expected build time by four, lose hours of sleep thinking of ways to do things and generally cause grievous bodily harm to yourself by burns when welding and skinned knuckles when trying to strip your rusty old doner.
