Default Crashed Hood On the bay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2009-ROBIN-HOO...item23063213b8

Insurance company paid out 14k?? Why?

It's going to take a full chassis by the looks of it

I guess they paid out 14k because that is probably what it was worth.

New registration .... All new parts & all that.

If I had the cash could even be tempted myself at that sort of price !!??

Much rather pay the small fee for the VIC check than the fee for the IVA

Even got a chassis & bodywork for that in my workshop

£4.5K Buys the Zetec Kit with a brand new Zetec,
£7.5K Gets an OTR factory car.. ( not sure what spec though )

Can get a brand new factory Caterham for around £15.5K

Must have been something very special about this hood to be worth that much, and someone equaly as special to have binned it!!

yes you would avoid the IVA, but I wonder what the parts cost for the rebuild would be.

Beyond economical repair due to cost, I have just quoted 5k to repair a 1 year A4 Audi and they wrote that off, within 15 mins the salvage company rang to collect it.
Above a certain percentage of the value cars are written off and sent to salvage to recover part of the loss so cheap cars can be had.

Westfield, Dax, Caterham etc are all far superior yet knobheads spend as much if not more on a 4 wheeled turd called a Robin Hood......beyond me it really is
I wouldn't spend 4p let alone 14k on one..
