Default Steering rack extensions

Hi folks
as some of you may know, I recently bought a part finished roadster build. Included in the sale were a set of steering rack extensions. They are made in steel, and they will add 145mm to the steering rack when fitted. This tallys up with the haynes manual, but I've seen comments about a revision to this measurement. Will I need to buy new extensions, and if so, what size.
All help greatly appreciated.

You may have to shorten them to suit Alan.

Just come accross this problem too. Shouldn't be to hard to fix though, just hacksaw off the required amount from the end, turn down to the required diameter in far enough for it all to fit and re-tap the thread?

These are the correct extensions, 120 to 130mm or Rally Designs do a similar one:
