Dummy shocks
Hi guys,
I'm gonna be making up some dummy shocks to sit my build on and wanted to check the rough size I should make them to me as close as possible to sitting the right height? On a conversation with Handyandy I think he mentioned 14" but can't remember to be sure. Does this sound about right? Cheers Russ |

Hi folk's
The free length of the standard shock is indeed 14" & ( Eye to eye ), that length will be just fine so as you can get to wheel a rolling chasis about I guess if you wanted to simulate a completed cars ride height you could reduce them to about 12" or so ? Never thought to measure the free length of my shocks when I had the engine & gearbox fitted in my rolling chassis M12 bolt Deano

Aim for a bottom rail chassis height of 4 to 4 1/2 at the front and 5 to 5 1/2 at the rear.
