Default Brake shoes

I need to order some brake shoes, but i don't know the age of my donor. Are they all the same? If not, how can i find out the difference?

I'm sure someone on here will know

Cheers

Dave

Best bit so far: Getting it running
Worst bit so far: Cutting steel for wishbones and engine mounts.
Most annoying bit so far: Generator packing up half way through welding.

I think you only need the drum diameter as a few sizes were fitted to the Sierra

Don't think it will matter what year Sierra as long as you know your drum size

Smile Drum sizes

Just had a look in the Sierra manual

1.3 & 1.6 saloon/hatchback models .... 8" drums

1.8 & 2.0 saloon/hatchback/estate .... 9" drums

P100 pick up .... 10.1" drums

That shoud make for easier ordering once measured

Thanks for that Ronnie. I'll have a measure on the weekend. Cheers.

Have a look at the Brakes international site - http://www.brakesint.co.uk/

They have a fantastic online catalogue on there for parts and prices are very good as well.
