Default Wierd electrical problems make me want to set fire to the kit car...

I have been out there all morning and have finally lost my rag with it all,
The first problem is that the switch to turn the side head and dip beam on, it seems whenever I switch the ignition on, that the head or dip lights are on, even if the sidelights are off? Easy fix, just take the realy switch feed from the dip lights? So the relay cant be turned on without them?
Second problem, dreaded indicators...
The hazards work fine, but on both indicators, there is nothing? I changed switch gear as I have 2 sets, and it worked. But has now stopped working, same problem on both sets of switch gear, hazards ok, no indicators? I tried a differend flasher relay, but no luck either?
I only have one blub just to test with, and my garage is a little damp?
Can anybody please help me, as I am well and truely pissed off with it, and considering ripping out every wire and starting again from scratch.
Cheers Guys, Jas

Tell me about it Mark! Im usualy not too bad with the old blue magic, and there is nothing more frustrating when you "know" everything right?
And yes by contact cleaner I meant a man size squirt of WD40!
Hope your campers coming on mate

Completely sorted now, I had soldered one of the switched earth wires that goes to the other stalks to a normal earth wire which was causing my headlight realys to be makeing a circuit the whole time.
If ever there was a case for, when your getting so pissed off you just want to burn the garage down, go inside, have a cuppa, then go and have another go.
