Question Road tax with V112 Form

Iv'e just taxed Dogwoods old Roadster with the v112 declaration of being under 3 years old.
All OK they taxed it without them even looking at any documentation.

V5 States date of first registration 16/11/87
and date of first registration in UK 01/02/2009
Car passed SVA 14/01/2009.

Cut a long story short I have my tax for the year but should I really have an MOT.
Not been on the forum for a while been working away from home for 10 months with only restricted access to internet. Bloody restricted work computer.

Hope to get out this year on a few runs.

Cheers,
Tony.
